
The Society of Ancients is a long-established international amateur society for the promotion of the study of ancient and medieval military history and wargaming the period 3000 BC to 1500 AD. It is run by volunteers for the benefit of its worldwide membership.

The objective of the Society is to encourage the development of historical wargaming and to that end it publishes a number of games exploring the interaction between wargaming and historical simulation as a tool for evaluating ancient accounts of battles.

Convention
A weekend of Ancients gaming, previews and the chance to play new rule sets along with talks from esteemed historians and a gathering of like-minded wargamers.
Battle Day
Our annual Spring event where a single historic battle is re-fought by various groups using multiple wargames rule sets, including talks on the background of the original battle.
